Space Design is Sophie Aurélie

Sophie Aurélie Eloy brings to her decorating style the richness and whimsy of her multicultural background and world travels.  Born to a Puerto Rican mother and a French father, she grew up in Montreal, Canada, until 2000 when she settled in PR, to pursue a career in the fields of interior and set decoration.  She has a bachelor's degree in Art with majors in Art History and Design for the Theater.  Soon after graduating, she started her career in the film industry in Montreal occupying the positions of prop buyer, assistant prop master, and assistant set decorator.  During this time, she also worked on contracts as a window display artist for high-end stores and museums.  She completed as well two internships in Paris, France, at the Premiere Vision Show – the leading textile and fashion trends show in the world.  

While she lived in Puerto Rico, she has acquired a solid reputation in set decoration and production designing and has worked on a number of international and local films. Always trying to expand her professional experience and with her team of highly skilled technicians, she has done for several years Christmas decor of various shopping malls, exclusive secret wedding decoration for famous people, and special corporate events’ decoration.
 

Decorating commercial spaces has become her new passion as an ideal way for expressing her artistic vision,  wanting her talent to have a permanent imprint.  Working closely and in synergy with the clients and architects, she brings her work background into play, being able to do projects with production speed. Her film experience has trained her to see space in a whole new way, giving it a personality that tells a story by itself. She is proud to say that all of her commercial space clients have become very successful in part because of the unique ambiance of their new business. That is how Sophie Aurélie as Space Design has gained admiration and respect from all the spaces she has transformed.
